CORE is the core of the rapidly developing field of residential education, as it becomes increasingly recognized as one valuable “tool in the toolbox” for at-risk children. CORE provides forums for networking between residential education professionals, and a national voice that promotes residential education programs.

Staff, supporters, and youth at member programs are served by CORE’s work. A member-driven organization, CORE member programs across the country play a crucial role in prioritizing and contributing to CORE’s efforts.

Membership dues are based on the number of youth served at your program. Please contact the CORE office for specific information.

“CORE’s ability to get things done – from impacting legislative changes at the national level to offering timely and solution-finding conferences and institutes – makes you glad you are spending your association membership dues wisely. CORE simply gets it! This association of child advocates understands that in the spectrum of possible solutions for providing for the needs of abused, abandoned, and neglected children, residential education programs continue to meet the needs of many of these children.”

— Dr. Phyllis Crain, Executive Director, Crossnore School, North Carolina

“Before CORE, we hadn’t found any place that mirrors our concern with the residential component. CORE is a place to call home. It allows us to be part of broader residential education issues. We appreciate the work CORE does in Washington with lobbying and legislation. ”

— Mike Tyrell, Associate Executive Director, St. Joseph’s Indian School, South Dakota
